Mobile Phones

When we think of the world we live in today and compare it to that of twenty years ago, one thing that may come to mind is “How did people get by without mobile phones?”

Back then we managed it every day, but it is hard to imagine how. Mobile phones did exist at the time, but they were not the popularised and widely used ones that we take for granted today. In the twenty first century, nearly everyone owns a mobile phone allowing them to communicate with anyone they want to no matter what the time is or where in the world either party is situated.

And beyond phone calls, mobile phones offer a huge range of other features as well. We can now text (and with newer phone email) each other, meaning we can communicate without even having to open our mouths. We can also play games, surf the internet (on newer phones), take photos, record videos, light up the path ahead, listen to the radio and music, set alarms and set reminders, meaning that phones resemble little personal computers that we can take everywhere.

Mobile phones are highly popular and show no signs of becoming less so. They will around for many years to come, no doubt with a whole array of extras we cannot yet comprehend.
